Our devs have been working on Chihuahua Chain for a while to bring you the $BLOBBY token and it is just around the corner now. So we published the litepaper in our website to give you more information about tokenomics, distribution, utilities, road map etc. We also updated our website according to these new informations. Exciting stuff is coming for Blobfishers.
The main reason we chose the Chihuahua chain is that, besides being a perfect meme chain, it also has a strong community. We were really impressed by that community and we want to be part of it. Also we want to integrate our communities to each other. WOOF!
Idea of $BLOBBY meme token has been shaped in the first days of Slimy Blobfish Social Club’s launch. We asked you to give us feedback about the utilities you would like to have for NFT holders and some of you recommended to have a meme token. We heard you, adopted the idea and started working on it almost immediately.
Firstly, we discussed within our team to use easy token publisher tools like start cooking app. But we thought those tools are having more control over your token than yourself. $BLOBBY belongs to our community and we didn’t want any other to come between us. We didn’t want to buy our token from a third party also would like to have the ability to bring features for our token like tier system, staking etc. We needed that flexibility. So, we started looking for an independent chain and Chihuahua Chain was no brainer.
We are positioning $BLOBBY into the center of our ecosystem. Every NFT collection, other products or features we bring will have an aim to boost $BLOBBY by providing liquidity, buying back to raise treasury, listings, etc. And we will use $BLOBBY to reward Blobfishers.
There are certain ways to start earning $BLOBBY points right now before TGE. Staking your Slimy Blobfish Social Club and Blobfish Comics NFTs on ohhNFT platform. Blobfish Comics is minting now on Stargaze Launchpad and have 2x multiplier on $BLOBBY points. Those points you earned will be converted into $BLOBBY tokens at our initial airdrop. Also Blobfish Comics holders will just get more airdrops monthly by just holding their NFTs and not listing them. Not listing part also applies to Slimy Blobfish S.C. holders. We created a tier system to let you even earn more tokens for just holding your tokens after TGE. There are different tiers with different yields announced in the litepaper and more information explaining the tier system will be published within another article.
Like we said, $BLOBBY belongs to our community. This is why we reserved 92% of the supply to us Blobfishers. 2% of it is reserved for the team with 3 years vesting. And rest of the 8% is reserved for marketing with 1 year vesting to spread our token to let more people know about it.
90% of the supply will be airdropped to you Blobfishers with 3 year vesting. There are tokens reserved for tier system, staking rewards, holder airdrops and social event rewards. Pie chart that shows the percentages and vestings is in the litepaper. And more information explaining the distribution model will be announced within another article.
We don’t reserve any token for the project’s treasury. Because we will buy back from you to raise our treasury.
We are using 3 year vesting strategy to have more control over the token price and keep our token liquid all the time. We need time to bring you more products to raise the income to keep providing liquidity. This is basically why we need 3 year vesting. We don’t want our token price to tank on listing date and to lose control of it. That would be a disaster. Also keep rewarding you on a monthly basis will keep our products more valuable and won’t let them lose their utility.
